1.4 Pre-Requisites for Field Service Operative
1.4.1 Qualifications
Only skilled or instructed personnel with relevant technical knowledge and experience, who
are also familiar with the safety procedures required when dealing with modern
electrical/electronic equipment, are to be allowed to use and/or work on the equipment. All
work shall be performed in accordance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 or the
relevant local, state and government regulations.
Any personnel working on an ST950 Controller should have completed the following training
courses:
HA Sector Scheme Sector 8 Modules 5XX
M609 – Junction Traffic Controller Maintenance for ST950 ELV, and/or
M609 – Junction Traffic Controller Maintenance for ST950 LV
M703 – IC4 Configuration
Training requirements for non UK users may be different.
1.4.2 Required Tools
In addition to a standard Engineer’s tool kit, the following tools are required when carrying
out any work on the ST900 Controller:
