Rack Mount Kits (RKs)

INTRODUCTION The Model RK series of panels and cables from Siemens Industry, Inc., provides

standard 19” rack mounting for FireFinder-XLS/Desigo Fire Safety Modular/Cerberus

PRO Modular modules. The table below lists the individual rack mount kits along with

the specific modules that mount onto them.

XLS/Desigo Fire Safety Modular/Cerberus PRO Modular Rack Mount Kits are for

indoor use only in dry environments.

Each FireFinder-XLS/Desigo Fire Safety Modular/Cerberus PRO Modular module that

is mounted must be ordered separately.

RACK HARDWARE The FireFinder-XLS/Desigo Fire Safety Modular/

Cerberus PRO Modular rack mounting panels mount

on a standard 19” wide x 18” or 23

” deep 6-foot

vertical rack, Model XLS-RK19, P/N 500-634778 (See

Figure 1). The rack is supplied with the following:

• side, back, and top panels

• front door with clear lens

• battery tray

• mounting hardware

The front door has a standard Siemens lock with key.

Table 1 lists the recommended locations (front or rear)

for the rack mounted modules and the panel heights of

the rack mount kits (See Figures 2, 3, 4 and 5).

Refer to Table 2 for a list of installation instructions.

Wiring Entering The Rack Assembly Non-Power Limited Wiring This wiring must enter from the right side of the rack. Power Limited Wiring This wiring must enter from the left side of the rack. Wiring must be in the shortest route and must not overlap any other wiring. Install Wiring The primary mains input must have a separate or dedicated circuit breaker. Wire in accordance with local codes and NEC 760.
