3 CDDL Protocol - physical level

The physical connection (ISO-OSI level "physical layer") between two devices is a

RS-232-C serial line configured at 8-bit characters and 2 stop bits. The parity bit is

disabled (set to none). The standard transmission rate is 9600 baud (other available

transmission rates are 150, 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800 baud).
