Additional information
EMS (Enhanced Messaging Service)
This service allows you to send pictures
and sounds as ring tones and screensavers
(except formatted text). Playback only
occurs if the destination phone supports the
EMS standard.
This can result in messages that are longer
than a single SMS. If this happens the
individual SMS messages are linked
together to form a single message.
SMS status report
If the message cannot be transmitted to the
service center you are offered the chance
to repeat the transmission. If this also fails,
contact your service provider.
The Message sent!message only indi-
cates transmission to the service center.
This will then attempt to relay the message
within a certain period.
See also Validity Period, p. 50.
SMS push
This function allows you to dial an Internet
address (URL) directly from a received
SMS. The URL is displayed as inverted
after the highlighting. Pressing the Call key
automatically starts the WAP browser and
dials the highlighted Internet address.
