The FDA221 series of detectors are a very early warning dual wavelength (blue & infra-red) smoke
detectors designed to protect small business-critical environments up to 500 m².

The FDA221 series of detectors are a very early warning dual wavelength (blue & infra-red) smoke
detectors designed to protect small business-critical environments up to 800 m².
Function
The detector works by continually drawing air into sampling holes in a pipe net-work. The air is passed
into a uniquely designed detection chamber where light scattering technology detects the presence of
very small amounts of smoke. The FDA221and FDA241 detectors can communicate directly on the
FDnet/C-NET loops (with an optional FDCC221S PCB), so there is no need for separate relay or net-
work connections.

Application
For connecting the aspirating smoke detector FDA221 / FDA241 to FDnet/C-NET. The installation is not
permitted in the case of standalone operation. FDCC221S has its own ID. This ID is mAde visible to the
detector line and it replaces the ID of the aspirating smoke detector.
