Application

The detector tester (delivered with bellow DZZ1190) is placed over the detector and given a brief push

to release the test gas and so simulate the presence of fire aerosols. The detector responds quickly and

actuates an alarm. The test gas is free of halogenated chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). It is not combustible.

The extension rod FDUM291/292 and the test gas can REF8, REF8-S must be ordered separately.

Application

REF8 has been developed as an environmentally friendly test gas for the testing of smoke detectors.

REF8 can be used in the temperature range of 0…+40 °C in dry or in humid environments. Complies

with environmental laws. Protects atmosphere and ozone layer.

REF8-S has been developed as environmentally friendly test gas for the testing of smoke detectors.

REF8-S can be used in the temperature range of -20…+40 °C in dry or in humid environments. REF8-S

remains measurable longer than REF8, and is used for detectors having a longer signal evaluation time.

Complies with environmental laws. Protects atmosphere and ozone layer.

Use only together with detector tester RE6.
