FIRMWARE UPGRADES
The FCL2004 is shipped with the latest firmware and the user should not have to upgrade unless
suggested to do so by Siemens Industry, Inc. Technical Support. From time to time, modules used in
the FC2025/2050, FC922/924 system are upgraded to improve their operation or to add to their
capabilities with new features. Firmware in the FCL2004 is field upgradable through the FC2025/2050,
FC922/924 configuration tool. Refer to the FS20 Configuration Tool, Revision 9.0.0.R1 or higher.
To upgrade the FCL2004, first select the menu item FW update Additional CPUs from the menu
update as shown in the following figure:
