Product Overview Specifications

The Sinorix Engineered System Nozzles by Siemens ─

Fire Safety are designed to provide rapid, thorough

mixing of suppression agent with the air in the

protected space, while providing coverage for large

areas. Standard nozzles are made of brass.

Engineered system nozzles are made in five (5) pipe

sizes: 1/2" [1.3cm.]; 3/4" [1.9cm.]; 1" [2.5cm.]; 1−1/4"

[3.2cm.]; 1−1/2" [3.8cm.] and 2" [5.1cm.]. All sizes have

180° and 360° discharge patterns available. For the

Sinorix 227 series, all nozzles (180° and 360°) have

(8) eight-hole patterns. For the Sinorix 1230 series,

the 360° nozzle has 16 holes, and the 180° nozzle has

a 13-hole drill pattern.

The engineered system nozzles are available in 180° or

360° discharge-pattern type, and are made of brass.

The nozzles are marked with the Siemens ─ Fire Safety

part number and Underwriters Laboratories marking.

Each nozzle also has a standard, female pipe thread for

attachment to the discharge piping, and shall be

spaced in accordance with the instructions in the

engineered-system-design manual, as required by

UL and Factory Mutual (FM).

Hazard Area and Nozzle – Placement Design Criteria – Nozzles – The nozzles are available in 180° and 360° discharge patterns. The 180° sidewall nozzle is designed for installation along the end of zones of the hazard, with discharge directed away from the end of zone on which it is installed. The 360° nozzle is designed to be installed in the center of the area being protected. Sinorix 227 nozzles can be installed in either an upward or downward pendant position.
