2.1.2 System Components
As illustrated below, the Desigo CC software can be installed on a single server or
broken up in the following main functional blocks:
● Management System Server: Monitors and commands the field networks,
executes automatic actions and interacts with users through clients.
● Database Server: Manages the Historical data collected by Desigo CC.
● MNS
● Video
● Web Server: provides connectivity for web clients.
● FEP (Front End Processor): Extends and distributes connectivity to field networks.
● Installed Clients: Provide user access to Desigo CC user functionalities,
connecting directly to the Management System Server.
● Windows App and Web Clients: Provide user access to Desigo CC functionalities
through the web server.
