Mounting the RR-11 Remote Relay
INSTALLATION
1. Mount the SIEMENS Model RR-11 Remote
relay assembly to the rear of the DB-11 base,
as shown in Figure 1, using the screws and
standoffs supplied.
2. Use a 4-inch square, deep electrical box
(user supplied) for the detector base.
3. Terminate the relay contact wiring on TB3, as
shown in Figure 2.
4. If you are using a second remote device (for
example, an RLC-11, RLW-11, RSAC-11, or
RSAW-11) terminate the remote wiring on
RR-11, TB2, as shown in Figure 2.
5. Connect and route four wires from the
RR-11, TB1 to the detector through the hole
in the center of the base.
6. Mount the base to the electrical box and
make the connections directly to the base
terminals. Terminate the four wires as shown
in Figure 2.
 The contacts of the RR-11 transfer when
the associated detector goes into alarm.
 When a remote relay is used to control a
critical system function, the relay and its
associated detector must be the only
devices on the circuit.
ELECTRICAL RATINGS
The contacts of the RR-11 are rated at 30 VDC,
2.5A or 125 VAC, 2.5A resistive.
