measurement units of the AutoCAD drawing to the graphic that the drawing is inserted
into.
When you are in the AutoCAD Importer application, and open a DWG or DXF file, you
will see check boxes for drawing layers. These check boxes let you specify which
layers of the drawing you want to make visible. However, if you want to preview each
level before selecting it, you can select the
Hover
check box, and then move your
cursor over each layer to temporarily reveal the layer.
Conversion of Large AutoCAD Files to Image
Conversion of an AutoCAD file to XPS is preferred and recommended as it offers the
best image quality while zooming in/out of the image. However, when an AutoCAD file
is too large and causes system performance issues, conversion to an
Image file is
recommended. The AutoCAD importer dialog box, allows you to select to one of three
levels of image quality, if you choose to convert to an Image rather than an XPS file.
Highest Quality Image - Highest image quality, performance degradation slightly
less than Normal or High Quality Image.
High Quality Image - Medium level of image quality, slight performance
degradation.
Normal Quality Image - Lowest level of image quality, fastest performance option.
NOTE:
AutoCAD conversion is only possible on installed clients, i.e., conversion is not
possible from the Cerberus DMS Web Server and Remote Server clients.
5.9.2 AutoCAD Importer
The AutoCAD Importer allows you to view supported AutoCAD files (DWG, DXF, and
DWFx), and then import the files into a graphic as an XPS element of a Cerberus DMS
graphic.
