In this release, MM8000 has been further enhanced with new functions and number of bug corrections. 1.1 What’s new in MP3.15 This section presents the differences between the new MM8000 MP3.15 and the previous version (MP3.10). See more details in the ‘Installation, Configuration and Commissioning’ manual (006799_h_en). 1.1.1 SiPass The SiPass integrated access control system V2.
Introduction The Pager tool can be instanced in the MM8000 Operating Procedures as a new type of step. In order to be used, the tool must first be installed and configured in the Dispatching Services. 1.1.3 Runtime scheduled and manual tasks MM8000 Scheduler has been enhanced with runtime configuration of timedependent commands, which can be recurring on a periodic basis or started manually. 1.1.4 Enhanced connectivity STT2410 is now integrated into MM8000 MP3.15.

Installation and configuration procedures 2 Installation and configuration procedures 2.1 Software installation MP3.15 is distributed with a setup procedure. In order to get detailed information about MP3.15 installation, please see the MM8000 Installation, Configuration, and Commissioning manual (006799_h_en). In general, assuming a stand-alone MM8000 station, the installation procedure includes the following steps: 1. Check system requirements.
Installation and configuration procedures 11. By default, the software is installed in English. The installation procedure can install texts in another language as long as the required file (LANG_xxx.ZIP) is included in the setup kit. Otherwise, the language may be modified later by means of the ‘Language Installation’ utility. Note that you need to ‘download’ the Composer configuration before being able to start the MM8000 application (MM8000 client).
Migrating from MP2.xx releases 3 Migrating from MP2.xx releases 3.1 Migrating from MP2.10/MP2.20/MP2.30 The configuration database migration from older releases - MP2.10, MP2.20, MP2.21, and MP2.30 - is possible using MM8000 MP2.31 as intermediate conversion step (see document 008091 MP2.31 Release Notes). Then, from the MP2.31 database, you can finally convert your database to MP3.15. 3.2 Migrating from MP2.31 The migration from release MP2.31 is possible as described in this chapter.
Migrating from MP2.xx releases 3.2.1 Update procedure log In MP3.15, the internal database structure was reorganised and various object properties have been removed. These properties could have been configured for specific types of event, customer texts, reactions, etc., and the update procedure may not be able to automatically map the customisations into the new structure. In order to verify if that happened, after any upgrade from MP2.31, you need to analyse the NEOUPDATE.
Migrating from MP2.xx releases 3.3 Migrating from 3.10 The migration from release MP3.10 (including the service releases 3.10-xx) is possible as described in this chapter. You perform the following procedure steps: 1. Install MM8000 MP3.15 as described in 2.1 above. 2. Start Composer and restore your project. 3. In the MM8000 structure tree, select Supervision System Settings MM8000 System Logical Configuration User Data 4. On the Node tab, press the button labelled “Project Update”.
Known issues in MP3.15 4 Known issues in MP3.15 This is a list of known limitations, problems, bugs and recommended practises regarding MP3.15 at the time this software was released. Compared with previous MP3.10 Release Notes, new and updated points are marked by a side label for easier identification. 4.1 Installation MSDE or SQL server Updated in 3.15 Updated in 3.15 MM8000 History requires SQL server or MSDE (MS SQL server Desktop Engine) V8 or 2000.
Known issues in MP3.15 Cannot change domain/PC name MM8000 does not support a domain/PC name change on the Client or Server after the installation. The solution is to uninstall MM8000, rename the PC, reboot, and then install the software again. See also 006799 MM8000 ICC manual. Printer spooler MM8000 always requires the printer spooler to be enabled for the configured printers. Updated in 3.15 Clear History DB Rare cases of difficulties in the history functions have been reported after installation.
Known issues in MP3.15 4.2 Configuration Download failures Repetitive download attempts may cause failures. In this case, close Composer after each download and then reopen it. Also try the ‘Empty_DB’ procedure (see 006799 MM8000 ICC manual Installed applications and Utilities). Cut/Copy/Paste not supported Cut, Copy, and Paste commands are not supported in the Composer structure tree with one important exception: the maps can be copied and pasted.
Known issues in MP3.15 Backup version The Composer project backup files include the version of MM8000 used for the latest backup command. The version information is contained in the ZIP comment field (note that the backup file is actually a ZIP compressed archive that can be temporarily renamed with a ZIP extension), which can be shown by WinZip in the following way: 1 In WinZip 8.1, enable the comment option in “Miscellaneous options” “Show comment when opening ZIP files”.
Known issues in MP3.15 – – – – – New in 3.15 1560 - Internal horn; 1561, 1564, 1565 - External horn; 1562 attribute = RTFIRE – “Alarm” remote transmission channel; 1562 attribute = RTFAULT – “Fault” remote transmission channel; 1562 attribute = RTOTHER – “Other” remote transmission channel. Lock/Unlock MM8000 stations Before locking the MM8000 station in closed mode, please read carefully the ‘Activating the MM8000 closed mode’ chapter of the ICC manual (doc. no.006799_h_en).
Known issues in MP3.15 4.3 Functionality FEP stations require server when starting up Distributed configurations including FEP stations: when you start up a FEP station, you have to ensure beforehand that the MM8000 server is already up and running. Low virtual memory events Depending on the specific configuration and on the PC hardware characteristics, MM8000 software may use up the memory resources in Windows and cause the “Low virtual memory” error message to display.
Known issues in MP3.15 SiPass – Multiple connections to SiPass server. – – – – New in 3.15 – – – – SiPass RPC interface supports only one connection. Configurations including multiple MM8000 servers connected to the same SiPass server are not possible. Reader name, FLN name and structure. This information cannot be acquired from SiPass; this prevents MM8000 from representing the entire physical structure of the devices. Object states and events.
Documentation 5 Documentation This section provides an overview of what information is included in each of the documents that accompany MM8000 MP3.15. Updated in 3.15 5.1 General changes The graphical map configuration has been moved from the MM8000 ICC manual (Installation, Configuration and Commissioning) into a new document: DMS8000 Graphical Map Configuration, which also applies to new MT8001 version.
