If a Line Printer template is selected, MM8000 prints out line by line with no use of the
Windows spooler. This implies that the printer should provide full support in hardware
of the character set currently used.
When using EPSON LQ 580 and equivalent printers with MM8000, make sure to set
the following options:
– Auto line feed = OFF
– Software = ESC/P2
– I/F mode = parallel
– Parallel I/F bidirectional mode = ON
7. Journaling only - setting event filter:
The journaling logs may optionally be filtered to print only events belonging to
specific categories and/or disciplines. To set the filter:
a) Expand the subtree of the Template node that was linked in the previous
step.
b) Select the System Journaling Printer link node.
c) Click the Node tab. The sections Select categories and Select disciplines
display the current filtering options.
d) Uncheck all categories and disciplines that you want to filter out.
