The refrigerator is the third highest energy
consuming appliance in your home.
Siemens has always aimed for the lowest
possible energy consumption rates for our
appliances. All models of Siemens cooling
range and washing machines are awarded
with Grade 1 Hong Kong energy label.
Environmentally friendly
refrigerant
Siemens uses refrigerant R600a, which
has an Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP)
of zero and a very low Global Warming
Potential (GWP). To eliminate greenhouse
gas emission, Siemens invested in a
refrigerant recycling machine to collect the
refrigerant from old refrigerators in Hong
Kong. Moreover, a Government authorised
recycling organisation is appointed to take
care of the remaining parts.
Highest ratings for
Siemens home appliances
Stiftung Warentest, an independent
foundation established by the German
government, has been conducting product
tests since 1964. Ninety-six percent of
German adults are familiar with Stiftung
Warentest, a third of whom rely on its
test results. Siemens home appliances
have always succeeded in winning the top
awards. Winners include washing machine,
dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, combination
refrigerator/freezer and steam oven.
