Innovation Prize for Climate and
Environment”
Siemen’s Zeolite® dishwasher has been awarded the
Innovation Prize for Climate and Environment’’ by the
German Federal Ministry for the Environment and Nature
Conservation (BMU) and the Federation of German
Industries (BDI). High recognition was shown for the
Zeolite® drying technology’s dedication to environmental
protection and excellent energy efficiency.

Our new super-efficient drying technology makes use of
zeolite, a class of naturally occurring minerals with the
astonishing ability to absorb water molecules and then
release them as energy. The results? Very dry dishes – even
plasticware – in less time, and using less energy.
1. Drying Phase
Zeolite absorbs moisture and
converts it to heat energy.
2. Cleaning Phase
As the mineral is heated
during the cleaning cycle, it is
recharged and ready to absorb
moisture once more.
