Prerequisites

WARNING

Installation of the EcoView Multi-

phase Meter involves working with 3-

phase electrical mains. Installation is

intended to be performed by those

with basic knowledge of electricity

and electrical wiring, and who have

knowledge of standard electrical

safety practices.

Working with electricity can be hazardous

and deadly if standard electrical safety

practices are not adhered to. To avoid

injury to personnel and/or equipment, it is

important that only those familiar with

basic electrical safety practices install this

device, and that the NEC codes are

strictly adhered to.

If you feel uncomfortable with working

with line voltages, please refer this work

to a qualified licensed electrician.

NOTE:

Verify all associated high voltage

distribution systems are operating before

installing the EcoView Multi-phase

Meter. Indentifying any preexisting

issues will save time and avoid liability.

Document No. 129-563 Installation Instructions April 28, 2015 Electrical System  Check all high voltage switches, relays, and contactors for proper operation.  Notify any on-site staff of potential power loss and/or necessary shut down.  Recommend visual inspection of all electrical equipment and panels. Take photos to release liability for pre-existing equipment or electrical conditions.  Ensure property manager and/or store owner are notified.

Run wires for each phase of a 3-phase breaker to the appropriate Phase A, B, and C terminals on the 10-position terminal block (see the Figure Voltage and Mulit-phase Meter Power Wiring Diagram). b. Run a wire from the neutral bus to the N (neutral) terminal on the 10-position terminal block. Figure 4: In-line Fuse Holder.

Document No. 129-563 Installation Instructions April 28, 2015 Current Transformers Install a Current Transformer on each phase leg and route the voltage wires to the EcoView Multi-phase Meter enclosure (see the following Figures). 3. Do the following to connect the Current Transformers to the 6-position terminal block on the EcoView Multi-phase Meter, which is labeled A-CT, B-CT, and C-CT (see the Figure Connecting the Current Transformer's Wires): a.

Switch ON the dedicated 3-phase breaker and verify that the Multi-phase Meter LEDs are on.  If properly wired, the status LEDs for each phase will be solid green and the NET and PWR LEDs will be flashing red.  If the A-CT, B-CT, and C-CT LEDs are solid red, the Current Transformers are reversed. Swap the white and black wires on the terminal block to correct the problem.

Select the appropriate Zigbee MAC address for the Resource Meter from the list, and then press the Finish button.  A list of Voltage Reference options displays. Pulse Input Overview Description Threshold Edge Detection The EcoView Multi-phase Meter has two general-purpose pulse inputs for logging data. You can use these pulse inputs to connect any type of device that generates a pulse for measurements.This section provides a general overview of how the Multi-phase Meter inputs work, and the data available for use as part of the system.

Pulse Input Installation Overview This section describes wiring methods for the Multi-phase Meter, and installation and configuration information. applied through the barrel connector. Pin 1 is used to supply power, and Pin 2 is used to close the loop and measure pulses. Wiring Methods You can wire the Multi-phase Meter in two different ways, as shown in Figures 17 and 18.

Document No. 129-563 Installation Instructions April 28, 2015  RSSI, NET and PWR LEDs turn on.  The PWR LED will blink on and off, which indicates that the bootloader is running.  After 10 seconds, the CT LEDs will each cycle green then red, which indicates that the main meter application has successfully loaded. NOTE: The delay can take up to 1 minute if the meter is not communicating with the touchscreen.

Document No. 129-563 Installation Instructions April 28, 2015 Resetting the EcoView Multi-phase Meter to Manufacturer’s Defaults Use this procedure to reset the EcoView Multi-phase Meter to the manufacturer’s defaults. ➤ Press and hold the RESET button for more than 10 seconds and then release it.  The LEDs on the EcoView Multi-phase Meter should cycle off, and then turn on again.
