6. Select the desired Zigbee MAC address from the list
(see 1 in Figure 11), and then press the Finish button
(see 2 in Figure 11).

7. Press the Accept button.
a The EcoView 8 DO Module, EcoView Power
Meter, or EcoView Thermostat is assigned
to the EcoView MicroPad Controller and
locked into the wireless network.
8. Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for each device that
needs to be assigned.
9. In the upper-left corner of the screen, press the
Home button to return to the main screen.
10. Press the Exit button to save the configuration.
a The EcoView MicroPad Controller main menu
displays.
The EcoView MicroPad Controller start-up is now
complete.
Testing the EcoView 8 DO Module
1. From the EcoView MicroPad Controller main
menu, press the ON/OFF icon.
a The Load Control screen displays.
2. Toggle each switch OFF and back ON.
3. Ensure that the EcoView 8 DO Module
responds correctly.
NOTE: The switches must be toggled at least once
before the EcoView 8 DO Module will be in sync.
Testing the EcoView Thermostat
At each EcoView Thermostat, verify that the
heating and cooling calls function appropriately.
Perform a delta T on each unit.
Demonstrate the system functionality to the
manager or building owner.
Resetting Other ZigBee Networks
that are Closed (Only for sites with
multiple EcoView MicroPad
Controllers)
w Complete this procedure at each EcoView
MicroPad Controller where the ZigBee network is
closed.
1. Press the Support button.
2. Press the Installation tab.
3. Press the Config button.
4. Press the Device Network tab.
5. Press the Advanced tab.
6. Press the Reset Network button in the Network
list. (See 2 in Figure 5.)
7. Press OK to continue with the reset.
The ZigBee network resets and
automatically selects a preferred
communications channel.
8. Press OK to close the message box.
9. Verify that both the PAN ID and the Channel
values have changed. (See 3 in Figure 3.)
Installing an EcoView ZigBee
Repeater (Optional)
If a ZigBee device is out-of-range, an EcoView ZigBee
Repeater can be added to improve signal strength.
1. Find a suitable location that is the midpoint
between the EcoView MicroPad Controller and
the device with poor signal strength.
2. Plug the EcoView ZigBee Repeater into the
nearest available power outlet. (The higher off
the ground the better.)
