Wet saucepan bases and hotplates Incorrect repairs Risk of injury! Risk of electric shock.! Steam pressure may build up if there is liquid between the saucepan base and the hotplate. This may cause the pan to jump suddenly. Always keep the hotplate and saucepan bases dry. Incorrect repairs are dangerous. Switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box, if the appliance is faulty. Call the after-sales service. Repairs may only be carried out by one of our qualified after-sales engineers.

Setting a hotplate Heat setting 9 = highest setting Adjust the heat setting of the hotplates using the hotplate controls. There is an intermediate setting between each heat setting. This is identified by a dot. 0 = hotplate off Note: Hotplate temperature is regulated by the heat switching on and off. The heat may also switch on and off at the highest setting. Heat setting 1 = lowest setting Table of cooking times The following table provides some examples. When heating thick liquids, stir regularly.

Pause function Continuing cooking Activating the pause function Tap the @ symbol again within 3 minutes. The hotplates continue to heat. Tap the @ symbol. The selected heat setting flashes on the hotplate indicator. Heating is interrupted. Pause time exceeded After 3 minutes, a ‹ flashes in the display. Switch the hotplate off and make your settings again. Automatic time limit If a hotplate is in use for a long time without the setting being changed, the automatic time limit is activated.
