Product Overview
Used in co
rrelation to Siemens Desigo Fire Safety Modular system panels, the Single-
Node Upload (SNU) is an optional system module that provides a solution for
uploading
| downloading Desigo Fire Safety Modular system configuration data
remotely.
A given SNU can easily transmit information from a personal computer
run
ning the ZEUS-D custom-configuration tool to a maximum 64 Operator Interfaces
(
OIs | Model FCM2041-U2).
A dedicated Ethernet connection is the means used to allow SNU to directly
provide information from the
ZEUS-D tool to the remotely located Operator
I
nterfaces. Additionally, the Ethernet connection is separate from all existing
system networks (XNET
| HNET and DNET), as well as any other network devices.
A USB connector
– used in regular ZEUS-D communication – also provides the
physical connection bet
ween each Model FCM2041-U2 and the SNU module.
However,
for Desigo Modular (fire or fire/voice) systems that operate with the
legacy
central-processor interface, a serial cable (Model PMI-1 UPLD-CBL) must
be ordered f
or use with the SNU assembly.
