The designated product does not have an “own potential source of ignition” and therefore it is not subject to the ATEX
Directive (EU Directive 2014/34/EU, article 1, clause 1(a) and 2, clause (1)).
The product meets the requirements given by the standard EN 60079-11:2012, “Electrical apparatus for explosive gas
atmospheres, Part 11: Intrinsic safety "i"”. Within the standard it falls into the category “simple apparatus” (clause 5.7
a), passive components). It has negligible internal inductance and capacity.

The electronic circuit of the designated product consists of four passive components. It is not subject to the EMC
Directive due to the inherent nature of the physical characteristics (EU Directive 2014/30/EU, article 2, clause 2(d)(i) and
2(d)(ii)).
Due to its inherent nature the product is not an 'electrical and electronic equipment' and therefore not subject of the
RoHS Directive (EU Directive 2011/65/EU, article 2, clause 1 and article 3(1)). However, the product does not contain
substances in concentrations and applications banned under the EU RoHS Directive.
