Exposing the shielding

1. Cut open the insulation approximately 200 to 220 mm/7.9" to 8" from the end of the

cable and strip approximately 20 mm/0.8" from the cable.

2. Strip approximately 30 mm/1.18" from the end of the cable and remove the inner

cable from the shielding.

3. Cut off the wire braid of the shielding right at the end of the surround (see the 'cut

shield' arrow).
