INTRODUCTION
The SIEMENS Model MSI-30BC Manual Station
is a dual stage addressable device containing
advanced control panel communication technol-
ogy. This technology, which provides two-
direction communication with the control panel,
produces an Intelligent Initiating Device.
OPERATION
The MSI-30BC manual station operates with the
MXL Control Panel.
The MSI-30BC manual station housing has a
pull down lever that locks in position after
releasing a spring loaded switch which activates
the first address. (See Figure 3.) A normally
closed auxiliary contact is available for releas-
ing door holders and magnetic door locks. To
indicate the manual station is activated, the pull
down lever remains down and locked until the
station is reset.
The keyswitch located at the top of the
MSI-30BC activates the second address.

The unit is reset by opening the hinged housing
cover with an Allen key and then closing and
locking the cover, or by returning the keyswitch
to its original position.
INSTALLATION
1. Locate the opening on the MSI-30BC cover
that allows access to the programming
points on the MSI-30BC printed circuit
board. (Refer to Figure 1.)
