Logical Link Device N 347/02
Description
The Logical Link Device N 347 makes it possible to
logically link binary information.
The device manages up to 255 1-bit communication
objects (group addresses), which can be assigned to
the inputs or the output of a logic gate. The user is not
tied to a fixed gate size with a constant number of
inputs. For each gate, the user can determine the
number of inputs it should have and which logic
operations should be carried out.
One of the following logic functions can be assigned to
a gate:
AND
NAND
OR
NOR
The binary information of each input and output can be
inverted (negated). Send conditions and time functions
can be defined for each output.
Application Examples
Using ETS (Engineering Tool Software ETS3 and
later), specific parameters and addresses are assigned
and transferred into the Logical Link Device N 347.
The Logical Link Device N 347 can be used to
create user-defined logic functions.
A single N 347 can be used instead of one or more
Logic Modules N 301.
The Logical Link Device N 347 can be used to
produce a single signal that can indicate; for
example, whether any light has been left on in the
building or on a particular floor, or whether all of
the shutters have been lowered.
Time functions can be individually defined for each
output. It is possible to switch ON and OFF with a
delay, or the output can automatically revert once
it has been switched on (staircase lighting
function). Time intervals can be set between 0.1
seconds and 24 hours and can be retriggered, if
required.
