Motion Detector UP 255
Description
The Motion Detector UP 255 is a proximity sensor
which reacts to movements of people, animals or other
moving objects.
If motion is detected in its monitoring area, the
corresponding telegrams are sent on the bus. Using an
appropriate application program, it sends switching
commands through the Bus Coupling Unit (BCU) to
actuators, such as binary outputs to switch groups of
lights, or to signaling units. The Motion Detector
UP 255 can be operated in stand-alone mode, as a
master, or as an extension unit.
NOTE: This device is not for use with alarm
systems.
The Motion Detector UP 255 and a DELTA frame are
mounted together on a BCU. The device can only
function in combination with a BCU that contains an
application program. That is, the final installation
consists of the hardware (Motion Detector UP 255 with
Bus Coupling Unit UP 110/03) and the application
program (software).
The BCU and the frame are not included with the
device and must be ordered separately.
A detachable masking plate is included, and can be
used to reduce the detection range on the left or right
side of the device.
Using ETS (Engineering Tool Software), the
application program is selected and its parameters and
addresses are assigned.
