Presence/Motion Detectors

Description

The UP 258D11 and UP 258E21 are presence and

motion sensors with an integrated brightness

controller. The devices communicate with actuators or

additional KNX devices using KNX. They are designed

for ceiling mounting and can be accurately matched to

the monitored area by using their adjustable sensor

heads. The main application for the devices is

automatic lighting control for an office workstation.

The following features are integrated in the devices:

• Presence and motion detection.

• Operation as an individual sensor or as the

main or ancillary sensor for covering wider

areas.

• Brightness measurement of artificial and

ambient light levels can be calibrated over the

KNX bus or by using an Infrared remote. (IR

remote calibration is only available on the

OPTICONTROL Office UP 258E21.)

• Integrated two-point brightness controller

(switching).

• Constant light level (dimming) control to a

master lighting group and up to 4 subordinate

lighting groups. (Only with OPTICONTROL

Office UP 258E21. The subordinate groups

are controlled using separate + or – offsets

from the master group light.

• Separate output (as a KNX object) for heating,

ventilation and air conditioning applications.

• Integrated IR - receiver for an IR - remote

control (see the Accessories section).

• Adjustable sensor head.

910601 (Only for 258E21)

Both Application Programs 910501 and 910601

support the following features:

• Brightness measurement as mixed light

measurement; calibration via bus

• Integrated 2-point brightness controller (switching)

• Presence and motion detection

• Operation as an individual sensor or as the main

or ancillary sensor for covering wider areas.

• Separate output (as a KNX - object) for heating,

ventilation and air conditioning applications.
