Structure
The Cerberus D100 is a danger alarm system
with a modular system structure. All compo-
nents utilized are adapted to the local con-
ditions and only include those components
that are required for fulfilling the individual
task.
Modules are provided for connecting the
individual alarm or control peripherals. Like
the existing modules, these modules are
inserted into the slots of the basic system.
Networking
The networking of system technology is of
central importance for larger systems. The
multifunctional danger alarm system D100
combines the particularly fail-safe (bi-directional)
loop network from the SIGMASYS system
world with the highly efficient network
structure of the SM88 security alarm system.
The amount of data and the equipping of the
loops with processing units are limited due to
the high data load on bi-directional loop
networks. The advantage of loop networks,
however, is their particularly high degree of
failure safety. The choice of a network arranged
in “tree structures” is, therefore, practical for
large surface networks. Failure safety is
guaranteed by redundant lines.
The highly efficient network allows 99
participants to be interconnected. This allows
modern security networks to be implemented
for the first time. The networks can also be
logically linked across company locations via
modems.
