Putting the mobile unit into service
.
● Hold the mobile unit with the
dialling keypad facing
downwards
(see
Figure 2
).
A battery compartment for
2 batteries
is located in the lower part of the mobile unit.
● To open the battery compartment, undo the screw on the
lid and remove the lid (see
Figure 2
).
● Insert the two
batteries supplied
in the battery compart-
ment
as shown in Figure 2.
Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly (polarity
illustrated on the
label in the battery compartment
).
The battery compartment cannot be closed if
batteries
are inserted incorrectly.
● Screw the
lid
securely back into place. Ensure that the
lower end of the lid is locked into place.
Inserting batteries in the mobile unit
Note:
● Read the
safety notes on page 2 and 5 first!
● Only use
supplied or permitted batteries,
do not use
normal batteries (non-rechargeable) – see page 17.
● Only open the battery compartment in dust-free envi-
ronments.
