Notes on mobile unit use
● Do not charge and use the mobile unit
in environ-
ments where there is
danger of explosion

Notes on battery use

Only use approved nickel-cadmium batteries
(NiCd
batteries) or
nickel-metal-hydride batteries
(NiMH),
see page 17.
Additional safety notes for
the Ex version
This device comes with
"Intrinsic safety"
protection in
accordance with
EN 50014
and
EN 50020
for operation in
Ex protection zone 1.
As soon as it is suspected that a device is in danger (e.g.
in the case of external damage, incorrect storage or trans-
port damage), the device must be taken out of service and
action must be taken to prevent inadvertent recommis-
sioning.
Authorization for operating in environments where there is
danger of explosion is revoked in the event of mobile unit
manipulation.
Notes on mobile unit use
● Standard safety guidelines must be observed when
using Ex-protected cordless mobile units in order to
prevent malfunctions at the device.
● Do not charge or open the mobile unit
in environ-
ments where there is danger of explosion
.
Install the charging station outside the Ex zone.
Only the mobile unit may be used in Ex zones.
Do not use the 2000H headset in Ex zones.
Notes on battery use

Only use factory-supplied Ex batteries

Never use other batteries.
These batteries annul the
Ex protection and are a safety risk.
