9.10.14 HiPath 5000 RSM/AllServe Parameters

HiPath 5000 RSM/AllServe Parameters is used to specify the parameters for a networked

system.

9.10.14.1 Area: Server

IP address

The IP address of the server is entered here.

9.10.14.2 Area: Node

Node ID

Each node in a networked system must be assigned a unique node ID. This enables the indi-

vidual nodes in a networked system to be uniquely identified. Practical experience has shown

that it is best to assign node ID = 1 to n.

Settings | Network | HiPath 5000 RSM/AllServe Parameters

The IP address must be unique within the network. Any new IP address to be con-

figured should therefore be "pinged" before it is assigned. If the IP address re-

sponds, it should not be assigned again.
