scheduling of database maintenance tasks such as
importing data files, calculating summary points and
purging data that are no longer needed reduces the
time required for operators to perform these tasks.
A system feature also warns when the database
volume is approaching its storage limits to assure
data loss does not occur.
Administrator's security features allow you to restrict
users to only the information they need by assigning
rights to point data or point data groups. These
point groups can be placed in a directory "tree
view." The "tree view" feature allows easy setup of
access rights and provides report users a
customized list of available points for creating
reports.

Administrator's modification and annotation features
ensure that data cannot be modified without
requiring an administrative level user to provide a
justification in the form of an annotation. All
previous modifications are stored in the system so
that you can be confident of your data. Comments
or approvals for a point value can be entered as an
annotation or comment without requiring the data
value to be changed. Each entry or modification
includes the administrative user’s account name.

InfoCenter Administrator allows summary points to
be created at regular intervals based on the values
of other InfoCenter points. Summary point types
supported by InfoCenter Suite include Average,
Minimum, Maximum, Sampling, Sum, Mean Kinetic
Temperature and Delta.
Summary points can also be created based on
formula calculations. The formulas support: +, -,*, /,
ABS (Absolute Value), COS (Cosine), COT
(Cotangent), EXP (Exponential value), LOG (natural
log), LOG10 (log base 10), PI, POWER,ROUND,
SIN, SQRT, and TAN (Tangent). Using formula
points is extremely effective in moving complex
calculations from the system control hardware to
the InfoCenter Suite software when calculations are
only intended to be used for reporting purposes.
Another great benefit of summary points is the
ability to reduce overwhelming amounts of raw
building data into meaningful summary information.
After the summary calculations are complete, raw
data can be purged from the system, freeing up
valuable space in your online database.
