3.5 Online migration
General The "Online migration" dialog box allows you to start the actual migration of ADP data
from the online database. The values of the online database are read using the data
point name mapping file provided by the tool and converted to a form that can be
imported in InfoCenter and saved to the csv files. The csv file does not exceed 50 MB.
See section 3.5.1 for a description on how to import the csv files in InfoCenter.
MD5 file checksum
An MD5 file checksum is formed for each complete csv file and saved to a file under
the same name with file extension "md5“.
Report file
During data migration, a report file, which is displayed immediately following migration,
is created in the configured path and folder. The report file can also be displayed later
(see section 3.8).
ValueLog entries
If a value has ValueLog entries, then the original value of the csv file is taken over
rather than the changed value. The changed values can be imported in the InfoCenter
database by clicking "ValueLog migration“ in "ValueLog entries“ dialog group box. Click
"Test“ in the same group box to see if the ADP database contains ValueLog entries.
If yes, it is important to carry out the following steps in the indicated order:
1. Start online migration or migration of the archive via the migration tool.
2. Manually import the csv file(s) in InfoCenter.
3. Start the ValueLog import in InfoCenter using the migration tool.
AuditTrail data
It is found out during the online migration that AuditTrail data exist in the ADP database
to be migrated, a warning is written in the report file and a more additional before firmly
defined new data point is taken up in the header of the csv file.
The AuditTrail data can be imported in the InfoCenter database by clicking "AuditTrail
migration“ in "AuditTrail data“ dialog group box. Click "Test“ in the same group box to
see if the ADP database contains AuditTrail data.
If yes, it is important to carry out the following steps in the indicated order:
1. Start online migration or migration of the archive via the migration tool.
2. Manually import the csv file(s) in InfoCenter.
3. Start the AuditTrail data import in InfoCenter using the migration tool.
