Alarm Face Velocity
Status
When the red LED is illuminated, the fume
hood is operating under alarm conditions. Alarm
condition means that the face or exhaust
velocities are either too high or too low and
have exceeded warning limits.
Display
The ODP displays the alarm condition (either
HIGH FACE VELOCITY or LOW FACE
VELOCITY) and the alarm will sound. If enabled,
the ODP displays the face velocity.
Action
Notify the laboratory safety officer.
Normal Minimum Exhaust Flow
Status
When the open area of the fume hood is too
small to maintain a sufficient exhaust flow
volume, the FHC controls to the minimum
exhaust flow set point which will ensure safe
conditions.
Display
If enabled, the ODP displays FLO.
Warning Minimum Exhaust Flow
Status
When the yellow LED is illuminated in the FLO
condition, the fume hood is operating under
warning conditions. Warning condition means
that the exhaust volume is marginally too high
or too low.
Display
If enabled, the ODP displays FLO.
Action
Notify the laboratory safety officer.
Alarm Minimum Exhaust Flow
Status
When the red LED is illuminated in the FLO
condition, the fume hood is operating under
alarm conditions. Alarm condition means that
the exhaust volume is too high or too low.
Display
The ODP intermittently flashes either LO or HI
in conjunction with FLO. The alarm will sound.
Action
Notify the laboratory safety officer.
Emergency Purge Mode
Status
The Emergency Purge button has been pressed.
Display
The ODP displays EEE, EMERGENCY MODE,
and sounds the alarm.
General Failure Mode
Status
A hardware failure has occurred.
Display
The ODP displays FFF, GENERAL FAILURE, and
sounds the alarm.
