Danger of explosion in hazardous areas if electrostatic charges develop, for example, when
cleaning plastic surfaces with a dry cloth.
Prevent electrostatic charging in hazardous areas.
9.3 Maintenance and repair work
The device is maintenance-free. However, a periodic inspection according to pertinent
directives and regulations must be carried out.
An inspection can include, for example, check of:
Ambient conditions
Seal integrity of the process connections, cable entries, and cover
Reliability of power supply, lightning protection, and grounds
WARNING
Maintenance during continued operation in a hazardous area
There is a risk of explosion when carrying out repairs and maintenance on the device in a
hazardous area.
Isolate the device from power.

Ensure that the atmosphere is explosion-free (hot work permit).
WARNING
Humid environment
Risk of electric shock.
Avoid working on the device when it is energized.
If working on an energized device is necessary, ensure that the environment is dry.
Make sure when carrying out cleaning and maintenance work that no moisture penetrates
the inside of the device.
