7.1 Operating via SIMATIC PDM
SIMATIC PDM is a software package used to commission and maintain process devices.
Please consult the operating instructions or online help for details on using SIMATIC PDM. You
can find more information on versions and compatibility at our website.

7.1.1.2 PDM function overview
SIMATIC PDM monitors the process values, alarms and status signals of the device. It allows
you to display, compare, adjust, verify, and simulate process device data; also to set schedules
for calibration and maintenance.
Parameters are identified by name and organized into function groups. See LCD menu
structure (Page 173) for a chart and Changing parameter settings using SIMATIC PDM
(Page 64) for more details. The menu structure for SIMATIC PDM is almost identical to that
for the LCD.
