Notes on System Architecture
The American Auto-Matrix PUP (Public Unitary
Protocol) Driver provides communication between the
APOGEE
®
Automation System and American Auto-
Matrix PUP panels.
A maximum of 255 devices can be accessed with one
driver.
Functionality
The American Auto-Matrix PUP Driver can be loaded
into PXC Modular hardware. The driver is a
microprocessor-based, multitasking platform designed
for multi-system communication and control. The
American Auto-Matrix PUP Driver communicates with
Insight software, other APOGEE field panels and
controllers, and American Auto-Matrix PUP panels.
Through the Insight workstation, the American Auto-
Matrix points can be monitored and commanded. The
American Auto-Matrix points integrated into the
APOGEE Automation System can be accessed by
system applications such as Powers Process Control
Language (PPCL), scheduling, trending, and
alarming.
The American Auto-Matrix PUP Driver will not affect,
in any way, the operating sequence or safeties as
factory programmed into American Auto-Matrix PUP
panels.
Because the American Auto-Matrix SAGE panels are
eliminated, all functions previously supported by the
SAGE panel (global point sharing, programming,
schedules, point modules) must be duplicated using
equivalent APOGEE products and functionality.

integrated is supported by the American Auto-Matrix
PUP Driver.
