INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND WIRING FOR
CAT. NO. LEM-1 LOOP EXPANSION BOARD
The LEM-1 Loop Expansion Board is an optional module for the MPC-7000 Fire Alarm System Control
Unit. The Loop Expansion Board provides connections and terminal blocks for up to two FDLC
Addressable Loop Driver Boards (not included). One LEM-1 Loop Expansion Board may be mounted in
the enclosure above the Main Termination Board or above optional NEM-1 NAC Expansion Board.

Step 1.) Installation is to be done by qualified personnel
who have thoroughly read and understood this
instruction sheet.
Step 2.) Disconnect BATTERY and AC prior to working on
equipment.
Step 3.) Mount Loop Expansion Board with six screws (P/N
906-220604) as shown.
NOTE: The Loop Expansion Board connector
J3 must be aligned and engaged with connector
J8 on the Main Termination Board or with
connector J2 on the NEM-1 NAC Expansion
Board.
Step 4.) Attach conduit and run wires as required.
Step 5.) Make sure wires are free and clear of opens and
shorts.
Step 6.) Connect wires to the fire alarm system control unit
as required.
Step 7.) Apply power to system.
Step 8.) Check for proper operation of functions.
Standby operating current: 0 ma.
Alarm operating current: 0 ma.
Voltage: 24VDC Nominal
NOTES:
1.) Units to be installed in accordance with all local
electrical codes.
2.) Terminal block will accept a maximum of #12
AWG wiring.
3.) See Owners Manual for compatible devices.
