OPERATION
The MSI-B6F manual stations operate with the MXL
Control Panel.
When an alarm condition occurs, pull down on the
PULL DOWN lever of the manual station. The pull-
down cover remains down and locked until the station
is reset.
The MSI-B6F with the MS-FD Adapter has an addi-

be lifted up before access is provided to the station

the lock barrel back clockwise.
WIRING
Wire the station to the System (Refer to Figure 2 for
proper connections.) All wiring must comply with

INTRODUCTION
The Manual Station Model MSI-B6F from Siemens
Industry, Inc., is an addressable device containing
advanced control panel communication technology.
This technology which provides bidirectional commu-
nication with the control panel, produces an Intelligent
Initiating Device. The MSI-B6F is a single action
station; when used with the MS-FD Adapter, the
MSI-B6F is a double action station.
PROGRAMMING
IMPORTANT NOTE
The MSI-B6F must be in the Reset position in
order for the unit to be programmed. If the pull-

MSI-B6F cover that allows access to the
programming holes which are on the MSI-B6F
printed circuit board.
2. The manual station is programmed by using
either the FPI-32 Programmer Tester or the DPU
Programmer/Tester.
Note: The connection for the FPI-32 Programmer
to the manual station is not polarity sensitive.
However, connection from the Control Panel to
the MSI-B6F is polarity sensitive.
3. Follow the instructions given in the FPI-32
Programmer/Tester Manual (P/N 315-090077) or
the DPU User's Manual (P/N 315-033260), as
