Consultation
Consultation lets you put the other party in a call on
consultation hold, so that you can call and talk privately with a
second party. You can then use the Connect feature to alternate
between the two parties.
To consult with a second party during a call,
1. Scroll through the prompts on your OptiGuide display and
select
Consult?
.
Or press the Transfer (TRANSFR) key.
2. Dial the second party’s extension or 9 and the outside
number.
3. Talk with the second party.
To reconnect with the first party,
Scroll through the prompts on your OptiGuide display and
select
Toggle/Connect?
.
Or press the Connect key.
You can continue to use the Connect feature to alternate
between the two parties.
To release a party on consultation hold,
While connected with the party, scroll through the prompts
on your OptiGuide display and select
Release and return?
.
Or press the Clear key.
The party will be released, and you will be connected to the
other party.
