Usage

H2O Gas 200: - single zone

- multi zones

The orifice plate must be used for pressure reduction in H2O Jet and H2O Gas extinguishing systems. It allows to

turn the high pressure of the N2 cylinders (200bar) into low pressure in order to squeeze the water stored in the

water cylinders. It is installed between 1/2” flanges. For the coupling and centering alignment two flanges are

installed. The orifice plate has a coaxial hole. The drilling has to be according the specific hydraulic calculation.

The direction of flow is defined and stamped. The drilling diameter is also stamped and good visible from outside.

Installation instructions The orifice is fixed and centered at the inlet side with a screw in flange and at the outlet side also with a screw in flange when using 1 water cylinder or at multi zones with a welded flange. The connection is made by screws. Tightness is guaranteed by the two O-rings in the counterparts. At the inlet side a nipple with integrated filter (CX 854005 / S54476-B26-A1) is installed and is also part of the hole pressure reduction device. The direction of flow is marked.

Maintenance The orifice plate itself is maintenance-free. After an extinguishant discharge: · Check that the orifice connection to the pipework is secure and the discharge hose connection to the orifice is tight. · Disassembly of the unit group and control of filter, reserve filter (CX 851002 / S54476-B25-A3) Service inspection requirements: · Check the pipework for any unauthorized modifications which may result in a change of orifice diameter. · Check the orifice for any damage or corrosion.

Drilling instructions Requirements · The orifice must be drilled correctly, so it corresponds with the coefficient of the VdS calculation software. Failure to drill the orifice correctly will affect the discharge time of the system and the pressure developed in the downstream pipework, which may exceed the maximum working pressure rating for the pipe and fittings. · Orifice plates are normally supplied drilled to the correct diameter and supplied with the equipment.
