7.3.2 'Audio Modes'
'Zone Select'
A zone is a combination of outputs from several stations. A zone button can be
enabled by pushing it on the keypad, or by pushing the Select all button.
If a call is started from a callstation, the audio will only be routed to the enabled
zone buttons. See chapter 'Zone Select Table – Regular Keypad' [➙ 147].
'Select All'
All zones of the callstation will be selected.
'Select None'
All zones of the callstation will be deselected.
'Play Sound'
If no SD card is available in a device, it’s possible to inject a sound into the flash. If
the 'Play Sound' button is pressed, this audio file is transmitted to the network.
Because the memory is limited, the audio file needs to be shorter than 4 seconds.
This function is best used in combination with a gong or pre signalisation tone.
Example files are provided with your 'PACE-Design' installation and are available in
the following directory:
''PACE-Design' directory\Systems\Common\Default Sounds\'
See chapter 'Injected Sound [➙ 147]'.
'Play from SD-Card'
The actual firmware supports up to 255 different audio files on a SD card. Every
button represents a file name stored on the card. A key press starts the playback.
'Pause Sound'
Can be used to mute/unmute an active voice alarm or to toggle between start and
stop for an audio file that is being played back.
'Stop Sound'
Use this function to stop the active playback.
'Talk Switch'
A key press toggles the active call from a callstation. Pressing it again ends the
announcement.
