4.1 'System Overview'
Provides a graphical overview of the participants in 'PACE-Net', e.g.:
● 'Digital audio matrix (4/4/16)'
● PCs on which 'PACE-Design' is running
● Fire brigade call stations
● Call stations
You can arrange the devices clearly so you can easily identify the system status.
Infrastructure devices such as switches or amplifiers are not shown.
1. Menu bar and Toolbars
The menu bar offers access to all basic functions of the software. Important
functions are represented by a small symbol, which will be visible and/or enabled
depending on the selection in the 'System Overview' tab. You can dock toolbars to
each side of the window or place them anywhere on the desktop in floating mode.
2. Device List
This list contains all available 'PACE-Net' participants. The current state of each
device is permanently monitored and updated here as well as in the drawing area.
● A right mouse button click opens the context menu with several sorting options.
● The 'Appearance' item contains several general settings and how the
canvas/module is painted.
3. Drawing area
All 'PACE-Net' participants are shown on this canvas. The device status is shown
as follows:

* More information on the device status is displayed as a tooltip if you move the
mouse cursor over the device in question.
● You can 'drag and drop' devices to position them in the drawing area. You will
find more information in chapter Device positioning [➙ 171].
● In the context menu, right-click on a device to select configuration options for
the device in question. A separate window opens for each option.
● In the context menu, right-click on a free area to load and manage
backgrounds and visual layouts.
Protected and unprotected Systems
When you hold the <Ctrl> key and move the mouse over a module, all devices with
the matching System Name will be highlighted. The ID inside the brackets is the
SystemNameID of the protected system. If no SystemNameID is shown, then the
system is unprotected.
