5 System configuration
5.1 System limits
Network
● Within a tree topology, you are permitted to have up to 15 ↑ hops from the
central network distribution hub to a branch.
● 1GBit hops: 50 on fiber optic and copper
● With a ring topology, a minimum of three and a maximum of 30 PN2005
switches are permitted.
PACE-Bus
● The UART speed must be set to 19200 baud.
● A reboot of the host device is necessary if a device ID is used with a different
device type.
● Up to 4x PCIO2001 can be used on the 'PACE-Bus'.
● Up to 8x PT2006 can be used on the 'PACE-Bus'.
● Up to 3x PCIO2001 + 1x PT2006 without additional devices
● Up to 4x PT2009 or 1x PT2009 + 3 extensions
● PT2003 only supports the following button functions:
– Zone Select
– Select All
– Select None
– Play from SD-card
– Stop Sound
● PT2009: loudspeaker not working (up to FW1.3.3.4)
● PT2009: 'Select All' only working if at least one zone key is defined
Audio output configuration
● Only one local input is available in the mixer panel.
SD card
● No more than one '*.wav' file can be played per SD card and per device.
– The channel number corresponds to that of audio input 1.
● The data block size within a '*.wav' file is restricted to a maximum of 512 bytes.
AVC function
● The AVC function can only be used with the PC2001, PC2003, PC2005 and
Cerberus PACE Compact digital audio matrix board.
● The AVC printed circuit board can only be configured on audio input 4.
EOL3
● Max. 16 modules per amplifier
● Max. 16 modules per line
● Max. 64 modules per PC2001/2002/2003/1001/1002
