5.5.2.3 EOL3 Detection
● EOL Short-circuit below is the threshold for the short-circuit detection in EOL
mode. If the resistance drops below this value, a short-circuit error is detected.
● Dependent on the loudspeakerline impedance, 100 ohms is a good start.
Fig. 21: EOL3 Detection
1. Enable the 'En' flag for each zone you want to monitor.
2. Under 'Pilot RMS', set the 'Value' and 'Tolerance' to a value of between
12…20.
– 'Value' = 17 and 'Tolerance' = 6 provide a good starting point.
– If optimization is required, increase the values.
3. Set 'EOL3V1.0' under 'Type'.
4. Enter the addresses of the modules that are connected to the specified
speaker line.
– Enter the 'From'…'To' values under 'EOL ID Range' as shown in the
example below.
9…9
Only the module with ID 9 is connected to the line.
9…14
Entering a second number that is different from the first defines a range
so that a sweep is started on the line.
5.5.2.4 Monitoring of the return line
For Digital audio matrix (4/4/4)
Fig. 22: Monitoring of the return line
1. Enable the 'En' flag for each zone you want to monitor.
2. Enable the 'Return line available' flag.
3. Enter a value in the 'Pilot RMS [V]' and 'Tolerance' fields.
If the measured voltage is outside the specified range, the system will raise a
'NO_PILOT_SIGNAL' error.
