5.6 Setting up a loop isolator speaker system
The 'Digital audio matrix (4/4/16)' and Cerberus PACE Compact digital audio matrix
board hardware can manage speaker systems that are wired in a loop
configuration.
A typical setup consists of 4 Amplifier channels, each supplying its own loop
network. It is also possible for a single amplifier channel to supply multiple loops,
but with the limitation that the multiple loops are always treated as a single output
zone.
It is also possible to mix loops and stubs in a single configuration.
5.6.1 Basic Software Configuration
1. Open the 'Digital audio matrix (4/4/16) configuration' page or the 'Cerberus
PACE Compact digital audio matrix board configuration' page.
2. Enable the 'Active' checkbox for the start and end of the relevant speaker lines.
3. Enter an 'Amp' channel to route the loop to an amplifier channel, 1…4.
4. Enable the 'Loop' checkbox to mark the speaker line as part of a loop.
A pilot tone lasting approx. 90 s sounds during the LOOP_STARTUP phase.
