4. Disable the compressor limiter functionality
5. Set to feed the network with a signal and choose a channel number
6. Switch the tab at the bottom of the configuration page to AVC settings
7. Switch on the AVC feature by clicking on the Enable switch
8. Choose the output number 1…4 of the amplifier which is supplying the speaker
line in the measurement zone
9. Set the threshold for the measured input signal. If this threshold is exceeded,
the AVC attenuation value is increased. The default value is -20 dB
10. Set the maximum attenuation value to default -12 dB
11. Set the response and fade rate to 6 dB/s. Values above this will increase the
control speed, but they may also cause the system to become unstable.
12. Set the averaging time to 100 ms and the Feedback Factor to 50%
13. Make sure to disable the 'Show RMS' and 'IO Triggered' switches
14. Open the audio output configuration
15. Enable the 'Use AVC of' checkbox and enter the own station ID at the output
which is supplying the speaker line in the measurement zone
To see the actual AVC attenuation value
1. Open the system overview
2. Select the device which acts as the noise monitor
3. Open the 'Dynamic Station Information' page by pressing <F8>.
The actual value is displayed in the AVC gauge
Control output zones via the measured AVC value
1. Open the audio output configuration
2. Enable the 'Use AVC of' checkbox
3. Choose the Station ID of the noise monitor
This output will now be controlled by the AVC value
