6.3 Amplifier backup
In accordance with the safety level requirement, an amplifier backup is possible in
the event of an amplifier failure.
6.3.1 Digital audio matrix board
The digital audio matrix board keeps monitoring the function of the power amplifier.
If the power amplifier fails, the backup amplifier assumes its functions.
The digital audio matrix board supports one backup type:
● 1-channel backup
The digital audio matrix board has four separate inputs for the backup amplifier.
1-channel backup
For 1-channel backup, the amplifier type PV1001-A1 (Voice alarm panel Compact
400) is used. For more power, PV1002-A1 (Voice alarm panel Compact 1000) is
used.
The amplifier on position 'Amp 6' is installed as a backup amplifier.
