6.3.15 Backup with a free analog output
If not all analog audio outputs of PC2003-A1 are used, the free one can be used as
an analog audio input for the backup amplifier.

The figure above shows an example with 3 used analog audio outputs and the 4
th
one used to feed the backup amplifier. The 4
th
audio channel is not used.
In case of an amplifier fault, the PC2003-A1 routs the analog audio output signal of
the faulty amplifier to 'OUT4' to feed the backup amplifier. The PC2003-A1 backup
switch routes the 100 V backup input signal to the speaker lines.
A one-to-one backup can be established with 2 analog audio outputs and 2 backup
amplifiers. The 100 V output signal of the backup amplifier can be used to feed a
second PC2003-A1 as a backup input, so one backup amplifier can backup up to 7
regular amplifiers.
