System overview
Fig. 1: System overview
Cerberus PACE is a network-based public address and voice alarm (PA/VA) system that
complies with the requirements of EN 54-16 and allows for a decentralized and redundant
system structure. It is an important feature of the system that the critical risks of single point
of failure vulnerabilities are eliminated.
A typical Cerberus PACE system is comprised of digital audio matrices, amplifiers, operating
terminals, and call stations. Ethernet switches are used to link these components to a
network via copper or fiber-optic cables.
Cerberus PACE systems are configured in real-time using the 'PACE-Design' system
software.
An EN 54-4-certified power supply guarantees uninterrupted operation and high system
availability.
System Features and Functions
● Network-based audio matrices that can process up to 255 audio channels and
simultaneously transmit up to 64 audio channels in studio quality.
● Network components such as Ethernet switches and media converters for a fully
redundant audio network with up to 1350 participants that is compliant with EN 54-16.
● In addition to copper connections, fiber-optic connections can also be used in the
network with adapters.
● Network-based operating terminals and call stations for intuitive interaction with the
system.
● A network-enabled fire brigade call station that conforms to EN 54-16 and
ÖNORM F 3003.
● EN 54-4-certified power supply for uninterrupted operation and maximum system
availability.
● Pre-assembled 19" cabinets that can be adapted flexibly.
