w i t h d a y l i g h t s e n s o r for demand-dependent control of lighting systems,

especially in office spaces, and for the control of HVAC equipment.

Operates on AC 230 V, control output AC 230 V for lighting and potential-free

HVAC control output.

The QPA82.2 presence detector is a self-contained unit designed for demanding control

of lighting systems and HVAC equipment.

It is used especially in spaces occupied on a temporary basis, where the slightest

movement of an infrared source (seated people) shall be detected with great reliability.

Ceiling mounting makes the unit especially suitable for applications where precise

acquisition of workplace lighting is required.

The presence detector can be used in all kinds of spaces where, for maximum energy

savings, demand-dependent control is given preference over fixed time scheduling.

Functions The QPA82.2 presence detector has an infrared sensor which detects changes in passive infrared radiation in the space, which are then converted into electric control pulses. It captures changes in the thermal pattern caused by the smalles physical movements. This is achieved by making a comparison of the human thermal radiation and the constant thermal radiation of the environment.

avoid damage when fitting, the bar on the detector and the terminal block on the power part must oppose one another with the inscriptions on both unit sections mirrorinverted. Caution: Do not exert any pressure on the pyramid-shaped plastic insert (optics) of the unit! • After applying the operating voltage or after fitting the detector, the unit will be switched on for 1.5 min (initialization phase), that is, the lighting and HVAC outputs are deactivated. This is followed by a 9-minute service phase.
