Medium density and specific medium heat capacity are constants:
Considerations
Density (water): 1000 kg/m³ is mapped to constant x (integer).
Heat capacity (water): 4.2 kJ/ (kg*K) is mapped to constant u (floating point).
Output is calculated based on the following formula for the RMS705B calculator:
Output = Input C * x * u * (input A – input B).
Formula definition
Enter the following in the "Formula" operating line: C*x*u*(A-B)
Constants Enter 1000 in operating line "Constant x".
Enter 4.2 in operating line "Constant u".
Input identifiers Configure the input identifiers as follows:
Type "C" input on "Input A".
Type "C" input on "Input B".
Type "Universal 000.0" input on "Input C".
Accuracy and resolution of floating point constants is one decimal place, i.e.
4.16 must be entered as 4.2. If greater accuracy is required, enter the constant
increased by factor 10, 100, 1000, and divide the formula by this factor later on.
Notes
Internal connections (internal analog a) from the calculator output to other
function blocks are passed on as integers within value range -50…9999.
Other possible applications for the calculator are:
Total solar power
Volumetric flow
Energy consumption
etc.
